A day in the life of a PAT Tester at phs:

Traveling to customer sites to carry out Portable Appliance testing.
Completing tests on portable appliances within our customers premises.

The ideal candidate for a PAT Tester at phs will have:

About the Role:
As a Pat tester within our Darlington branch, your main duties will include, carrying out coordination of Portable Appliance Testing of electrical equipment and tools in an office and workplace environment to a high standard in accordance with the current Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment. To produce and maintain robust records of all tested equipment high-lighting any equipment which is not safe for continued use.

Produce branch reports of test results and outcome of testing. These reports are to be sent to a nominated person within individual branches within an agreed time frame. These reports are to be entered onto Mears Plant and Equipment database and information added to the PAT database in the Technical Compliance Shared drive. To keep a comprehensive diary of all appointments and to inform the nominated person in individual branches of forthcoming appointments and any changes to the arranged visits in a timely manner so as to avoid unnecessary non-productive
To highlight any Health and Safety concerns to the relevant manager or supervisor within the branch as early as possible to ensure they are aware of any issues that may have an impact on the safety and wellbeing of others

This is a weekend role - Saturdays and Sundays.

This is an important role in the team to carry out portable appliance testing at our portfolio of clients taking pride in working to a high standard for each customer. You will operate day to day at different customers sites, sometimes working with colleagues from the Swindon area on larger jobs. The Head Office is based in Dorcan in Swindon, used for company training/meetings and restocking where needed. Our admin team will lead customers through our booking process and you will have full access to your work schedule. Duties will include PAT testing and electrical testing of distribution equipment in a sunbelt rentals workshop.

Requirements: ECS/ JIB Card, 2391 or similar, references upon request, up to date CV, UK Right to Work & multifunctional tester.

Pay: £240 per day based on 07.30-16.30.

PAT Tester - Dartford

Here at Compliance Group Electrical Ltd, we’re seeking a PAT Operative to join our team based in London/M25 Corridor. You’ll be responsible for electrical testing and inspection of portable appliances for a myriad of clients and although your technical expertise is needed you must also be able to offer an excellent, face to face, client service where your communication and professional social skills will be utilised, whilst on site at various locations within the area.

A full UK Driving License and DBS/security checks will be made. You may be required to work the occasional weekend depending on the business needs.

What we offer:

We’re looking to offer a salary of £25,000, working 45hrs per week, for this role and are open to candidates of various levels. In addition, overtime is available, we provide a uniform, testing equipment, mileage allowance, a mobile phone or tablet, 23 days holiday per year plus bank holidays and your birthday off.

Key areas of responsibility:

· You’re required to perform electrical testing and inspection of portable appliances to ensure that each item is safe to use, make fuse changes, plug replacements and re-terminations where necessary

· Microwave Emissions testing is also required

· Data submission is an integral part of the role and all appliance testing must be done under the Code of Practice, 5th edition

· You must be happy to travel, managed your time effectively and provide a first-class client service

Experience required for the role:

· You must be qualified in City and Guilds 2377 or equivalent

· Have basic electrical knowledge and have clear and concise verbal and written communication skills

· Be able to work independently or part of a team

· Professional approach to work is a must with a strong desire to work efficiently and thoroughly
