Online PAT Testing Courses

While there are many online resources that offer free online PAT testing courses and training, we do not offer an online course option. The main reason we don’t is that it is a practical subject where hands-on training is important. PAT testing involves using specialised equipment to test electrical appliances and equipment. While it is possible to learn about these things online, or from a DVD course, there is no substitute for hands-on training. It's important to have access to equipment and tools to learn how to use them effectively. For example, you need to know how to use a PAT testing machine to carry out the tests correctly. In-person training also allows you to ask questions and receive immediate feedback. You can learn from your mistakes and improve your skills quickly.

We understand that many people are looking for a free online PAT testing course, but we believe that hands-on training is essential for this practical subject. We want to ensure that everyone who completes our training is fully prepared and competent to carry out the inspection and testing. If you are interested in becoming proficient in PAT testing, we encourage you to attend an in-person training course that includes hands-on instruction from experienced professionals.

Attending a Course

We regularly offer courses at locations across the country, as well as at our training centre in Cambridgeshire. You will have the opportunity to work with real appliances and equipment, ensuring that you gain confidence in your skills. If you already have your own PAT testing equipment, you can bring it with you, and the trainer can provide individual guidance on how to use your specific machine.
